What are earned subscribers, earned likes, and earned views?
When you run a YouTube ad campaign through Sprizzy, Google Ads tracks two types of results:
- Direct results — Actions that happen during or immediately after someone watches your ad, such as the ad view itself.
- Earned results — Organic actions that happen after someone discovers your channel through an ad. These include earned subscribers, earned likes, earned views, and earned playlist additions.
For example, a viewer might watch your ad, visit your channel, and then subscribe, like several videos, or add your content to a playlist. These are all “earned” actions because they happened organically as a result of your advertising — not because they were purchased or artificially generated.
Earned metrics are tracked and verified through Google Ads reporting, and you can also confirm them in your YouTube Studio analytics where all ad-driven activity is labeled as “YouTube advertising.”
