How Sprizzy charges appear

Charges show on your statement under the Sprizzy name. Every charge matches a line in Payment History in your account, with the date, amount, payment method and the campaign it paid for.

Why it can look like two charges

When you add a payment method or submit a payment, your bank may place a temporary authorization hold for the amount, on top of the real charge. This is standard for card payments.

Sprizzy releases the hold as soon as the payment goes through, but banks can take 3 to 5 business days to clear it from your statement. Only one charge ever settles. The hold stays in pending and then disappears.

A declined payment can leave the same kind of pending line. Nothing was taken and it will disappear too.

Charges you did not expect

Auto-Promote. If Auto-Promote is on for a channel, it creates and pays for a campaign each time you upload. This is the most common source of a charge with no campaign you remember creating. See Auto-Promote: what it charges and how to turn it off.

A campaign submitted twice. If two campaigns exist for the same video minutes apart, end the one you do not want and take the unspent money back.

A second payment right after ending a campaign. If you started a new campaign before the old funds landed in your balance, the system asks you to pay again. Refund the extra payment from Payment History. See Where is my money?.

Somebody else used your card. End the campaigns and refund the unspent money, then contact us about the rest.

What to do

  1. Open Payment History and match each statement line against it.
  2. Check Auto-Promote New Videos to see whether it is switched on for any channel.
  3. If a charge is still unexplained, email support@sprizzy.com with the date, the amount and the reference on your statement.

If you think your card was used without your permission, contact your bank as well.

What to do next

Start with Payment History. Almost every question about a statement is answered by the line that matches it.
